Liver cancer?
My aunt has just found out she has liver cancer and it has spread into her bones and in her back. She was told that she was in stage 4? She has received radiation also since she found out, which was Monday. I wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

My mom was diagnosed with cancer that had spread to her bones. The Doctors gave her six months to live. Through sheer will and a positive attitude (very important) she lived two and one half years from her diagnosis date. This time was a gift for me and my mother, as we grew to be better friends.
She was given aggressive chemo, radiation, lost her hair, had brittle bones that broke easily, and had periods of joy mixed with agony during this time. She was pronounced cancer free just before she died. The only problem was, she was also bone marrow free and had developed a hole in her stomach due to the oral medications. Because she had no bone marrow, her blood would not clot. She bled to death. Perhaps, if we had known to never give her the medications on an empty stomach, I don’t know. I only know that she came very close to beating it because she was such a fighter and loved life.
Anything that helps your Aunt keep a positive attitude, helps her to keep fighting, will be of use. And doing research to educate yourself on the disease is also important. Fight the good fight, and good luck to you and your Aunt.
