A liver transplant may be an opion to help the chances of survival for a person with liver cancer?
It depends if the cancer is only in the liver.
If it is then they can probably do a transplant.
If it began elsewhere and traveled to the liver then usual.
If it started somewhere else, they take into account how it has spread.
If they deem the terminal, then no, they used a transplant.
I begged them to make one for my mom and that’s what they told me.
” sorry.
answer1:
it depends on what is opion.
I’ve never heard of this for cancer treatment.
Answer2:
If they had a localized cancer of the liver then yes it would be an option.
However, from what you say they do not have liver cancer, they have colon cancer, so in this case, none would be an option as the cancer has metastasized.
Answer3:
It depends on the type of cancer the patient has.
With cancer as transplantt severe hepatic metastases is not an option that the tumor will recur after transplantation .
